Kamera – Simple and Elegant Jailbreak Tweak to Access iPhone Camera from Notification Center
If you are a power user of the in-built iPhone camera app, you would understand how annoying it can get sometimes when you need to take a quick shot with your iPhone. The time it takes t0 launch the native camera app, and then changing it to the rear camera (if at all the front camera is active), might cost you that great shot.
It has happened with me on many occasions and I know how frustrating it can be!
Well, a jailbreak developer rv1raj has listened to your cries and has written a free Notification Center shortcut for the native camera overlay and it’s called Kamera. Kamera adds 2 new buttons “Front Camera” and “Rear Camera” to the Notification Center using which you can access the camera overlay from wherever you are in your iPhone.
This is how it looks in the NC. Believe me, it can be really useful at times!
An added advantage with Kamera is, you can decide whether to start the camera overlay with ‘front camera’ or ‘rear camera’ upfront and don’t have to wait for it to load and then select the camera you need. You can do this by simply tapping on “Front Camera” or “Rear Camera” buttons.
Once you download Kamera tweak from Cydia, activate it by dragging it into “In Notification Centre” section. You can also change the placement (priority) of these buttons on Notification Center from Settings. Simply go to Settings >> Notifications >> Edit and then drag Kamera to wherever you want to place the buttons in “In Notification Centre” section.

Kamera is a free jailbreak tweak hosted under the BigBoss repo in Cydia. Currently, it only supports iPhone and iPod Touch and for iPad you will have to wait as the iPad version for Kamera will be released later.
