iOS 6.x Jailbreak evasi0n is expected to be released on Sunday (today) and in line with that evad3rs team has updated the status on their official website showing further progress with the release of public jailbreak for iOS 6.x devices.
The first major round of testing has been completed successfully on Windows and Mac and the jailbreak is now 85% ready for release. The next step involves testing on more iOS devices and firmware combinations.
While the iOS 6.x jailbreak is quite imminent for release with the team’s progress, we still can’t be very sure of the public release till it is actually released!
Fingers crossed till then!
[Update 03 Feb: evasi0n iOS 6.x Jailbreak is now 91% complete and ready for a public release tomorrow (Monday, 04 Feb 2013. More details here!]
Below is the latest update we have on the iOS 6.x Jailbreak evasion website:
85%: First major round of testing concluded successfully on Windows and Mac. Come back soon!
Next step: tests on more iOS device and firmware combinations.
Below are some important things you need to take care of while jailbreaking iOS 6.x device as mentioned in the ‘Read Me’ section on ‘evasi0n jailbreak‘ official site:
- Backup your iOS device using iTunes or iCloud before using evasi0n. This way you are sure to never lose any data if something wrong happens.
- Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
- Be patient while the jailbreaking process is running, don’t start iTunes or Xcode in the meanwhile. The best is to not touch the computer until the end of the jailbreaking process.
With still a couple of hours left for Sunday to be over, we need to wait and watch if this Sunday proves out to be a Funday for the Jailbreakers!
